ISAAC has announced the sale of its mining division to Newtrax. The buyer, a dynamic Montreal-based organization focused on the development of technological solutions for the mining industry, will take control of operations for an undisclosed amount. ISAAC will however continue to manufacture, deploy and offer technical support for a transitional period of eighteen months to ensure flawless service to clients.
ISAAC wishes to focus on the goods transport industry. “This will allow us to concentrate our efforts on better serving our transport clients, both in terms of research and development and customer service.” declared its president, Jacques DeLarochelliere. ISAAC holds a big part of the telemetry and telematics market share for truck fleets in Quebec and is developing the Canadian market. “Our constant growth requires us to make choices in order to maintain our position as leader. The sale of our mining division is in line with our business objectives.”
“We consider this transaction good news for the users of ISAAC ExTract and ISAAC ExTend solutions, as these will be integrated to Newtrax solutions as a whole. Moreover, Newtrax has more mining experts than ISAAC, as well as a network of partners offering field services around the globe.” says M. DeLarochelliere.
ISAAC ExTract and ISAAC ExTend were developed in 2008 and have continued to evolve to allow mixed mining fleet managers to transform complex data into simple indicators. With continuous monitoring of both operator and mobile equipment performance, ISAAC ExTract allows managers to make informed decisions and increase security, productivity and profitability. As for the ISAAC ExTend solution, it extends the communication network of mines by using their mobile equipment for expediting the delivery of ISAAC ExTract data.
