Latest Innovation Ensures Proper Document Capture on the First Try
ISAAC Instruments today announced the launch of ISAAC Scan, its latest innovation aimed at further elevating the truck driver experience.
Available for use with ISAAC Platform version 5.12, the new scanning solution can be used with any transportation management system (TMS) and ensures drivers are quickly and efficiently transmitting clear images to the back office every time.
“Previously, we relied on existing third-party integrations for scanning,” explained ISAAC Product Manager Manon L’Esperance. “After working in conjunction with our fleet clients, ISAAC set out to develop our own scanning tool that delivers added value and works better with our solution. It was designed with drivers’ daily workflow in mind every step of the way.”
ISAAC already offers in-cab technology that goes far beyond typical electronic logging devices (ELDs), with a true all-in-one solution handling the software, tablet and integration needs. Now, the new ISAAC Scan available on the tablet offers several additional benefits for fleet clients and drivers:
Quality & blurriness detection: ISAAC Scan detects if a driver’s first attempt produced an image not bright or clear enough and immediately alerts them of modifications needed. No longer will the back office have to potentially wait hours until the driver’s next stop to re-do a previously attempted scan. This can help reduce billing times and accelerate payments.
Auto document detection: ISAAC Scan automatically locates and crops the document being scanned for faster capture and, if needed, guides drivers to ensure they are providing the best possible image quality. Additionally, multi-page capture can be enabled at all times, ensuring the back office receives all needed files at once.
Intuitive, streamlined workflow: ISAAC Scan is highly customizable, allowing fleets to set parameters based on their unique workflows and needs. This ensures the electronic document capture is optimized and in the required file format. The enhanced user experience allows for smooth navigation between pages, the ability to insert a new scan after a particular page or to delete a scan if a wrong file is captured.
